Valentines Special

This Valentines Day, Luke made reservations for us at a local Thai restaurant called Kamin.  The food was delicious.  Luke ordered Volcanic Chicken.  When it arrived, he had to stop them from pouring rum all over it and starting it on fire.  Our confused waitress kept insisting that the alcohol would burn away, but Luke has an acute sense of smell when it comes to alcohol. He was really turned off by the aroma, so he declined the rum. I just think he can't hold his liquor. It might have been cool to see our dinner go up in flames right in front of us!

After dinner we were conned into getting dessert when they told us we could get our picture taken for free if we ordered one of their two specials that night. So we ordered the molten magma brownie (are there a lot of volcanoes in Thailand?) which was also delicious. When a waiter with a digital camera finally came out to take our complimentary picture he stood almost directly behind me. That's why I'm sort of slumped over and twisted around at an awkward angle in the picture. You can also see that the picture quality is really top-notch. What can I say? It was free! In any case, now we have documentation of our first Valentines Day as a married couple, which to me is the important thing.

I hope everyone else had a good Valentines day and spent some time with people you love!

Oh man, just reading this post is making my mouth water. I love Thai food and the molten magma brownie sounds sooo good. I'm glad you were conned into getting the photo...it's priceless. And by the way, I was just about to call you but I'm thinking you may be sleeping in this morning, so I'll call you a little later.

Hi guys! We’ve had some creepy stuff going on with our blog, and are going to go private. Could you email me your email address? I’ll send you an invite when I switch it. Thank you!

Looks like fun! I don't think I've ever had Thai food...

And I love that picture. Especially that it has the time on it. Ha!
